Sara Austin has a full-time job. So does her partner, John. Together, they also own and operate DanceSportVA, a dance studio in Virginia Beach with three ballrooms, built-in sound systems, and a weekend rental operation that stays booked. "It's pretty much just the two of us running all these rentals on the weekends. And yeah, it's insane,” she said.

The pre-loaded templates have become a key part of Sara's workflow, so she's not starting from scratch on every inquiry. "I really like the templates," she said. "I can pre-attach documents for things that are very common that I send. The messaging feature is very helpful."
And for Sara’s clients, the digital contract experience has been a selling point in its own right. "They have been very grateful for the fact that I can send them the contract digitally. They don’t have to come into my office. It expedites the receipt of payment and execution of the contract, which makes things easier for them, especially in terms of liquor license applications."

The numbers reflect just how quickly the rental side of DanceSportVA has grown. In their first full year, Sara and John booked a high volume of events despite a late start. This year, they've already surpassed that pace.
"A lot of that has been through Eventective," Sara said.

"It ensures that the people who are looking know what they want, they know what their price point is. It just takes some of the guesswork out." Flexibility without the pressure
Sara evaluated other platforms before committing to Eventective and the contrast was stark. Competitors came in with aggressive sales tactics and price points that didn't fit a small business still finding its footing. Eventective was different.
"You guys are clear without being aggressive, and that's something I appreciate," she said. The ability to start at a lower tier and scale up as the business grows was equally important. "[Venues] can work their way in as they get more business, or if things slow down, they can come back out. That flexibility is really good. And Eventective doesn’t limit the types of events that people can have and look for a venue for."
