About Ukrainian Labour Temple

Built in 1918/19 by the Ukrainian Labour Temple Association (today the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians), the Ukrainian Labour Temple is a National, Provincial and Municipal historic site based on its role as a centre of progressive social movements and its architectural significance. The Labour Temple was one of manybuildings that was central to the labour movement during the Winnipeg General Strike. It continues to serve as a centre of cultural and social activity. The Ukrainian Labour Temple is available to rent for rehearsals, community programs, meetings, conferences, concerts, lectures, socials, weddings, showers andmany other parties and events. The Labour Temple is also occasionally used as a filming location. Our gorgeous upper level is a trademark of North End Winnipeg. It has a stage, a bar, and a balcony. The large hall can accommodate a variety of seating arrangements including concert seating, banquets (round tables), or meetings (rectangular tables). Renters can request that use of the commercial kitchen (located on the lower level) be included in their rental agreement.
