So happy we chose to have our wedding at Sandy Knoll! The location was beautiful and provides our guests with children the opportunity to let them play outside at the park.

The team at the Washington County Parks that runs this facility were absolutely wonderful to work with and the rustic barn located at the beautiful Sandy Knoll park made our daughter and her fiancé's special day even more special. This setting gave us a unique location for both an outdoor wedding ceremony in the woods and an indoor reception while being able to keep an outdoor feel which was exactly what both my daughter and her husband wanted. The rental included both the upper part of the barn with a large deck overlooking the park, and the lower portion of the barn with a bridal room, bar area and refrigerator and freezer. All the tables and chairs needed were provided and looked like they were custom made for the setting. Extra tables for seating, catering services, etc. were provided along with picnic tables for additional outside seating The barn was already setup with lighting so we didn’t have to do much more than table top decorations to complete the look we were going for. There was a newly added walkway from the barn to the wedding ceremony site that wound its way through the woods which added an extra bit of natural beauty to the ceremony. The ceremony site itself in keeping with the woodsy theme had benches and an arbor that blended right in without ruining the natural outdoor feel. The bathroom facilities were only a short walking distance from the barn but were, clean, well maintained and fully functional - no porta-potties here. We understood going into the rental that we would need to find caterer’s, and provide our own beverages and servers. There are several locations throughout Washington County that will provide both services for you. We also understood that as well as needing all the above, we would be tasked with setting up and cleaning up the facility when we rented it. We were lucky enough to have friends and family that helped. If that is not something that would work for you, I would suggest hiring someone to help … weddings make for a very long day. Our overall experience with the Barn At Sandy Knoll was amazing. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for a facility for a small to midsize wedding.
