The Lakeview Camp and Conference Center in Dallas, Texas is a great place to have a low key and less professional meeting. There aren't many meeting spaces available, so booking a while in advance is necessary. However, this means that there isn't a lot of unnecessary traffic of other people using the same building for a meeting while you are in your own meeting. The venue looks very high end on the inside, but they are not stocked for a round table type of conference. The auditorium is very professional looking, but did not come stocked with the appropriate technology to conduct a proper meeting. The projector was not compatible with some software and there was no screen to pull down to highlight what was being presented. Also, the conference rooms were not adequately stocked with supplies. That being said, it is a great price, though. My group saved so much money by booking with the Lakeview Camp and Conference Center that it made up for the low level of professionalism of the center. Furthermore, since our meeting was more of a laid back style anyway, the vibe of this conference center fit perfectly with our mission. Overall, if I had to pick a conference center for my specific meeting again, I would definitely turn to the Lakeview Camp and Conference Center. The staff was very friendly, the building was conveniently located, and the rental cost was super affordable. All in all, it is a great conference center, though lacking in a few areas, that should be considered for any low key meetings.
