Terms and Conditions

POLICIES: • For the Rental Fee stated, the Grout Museum District agrees to provide use of the rental space(s), and any additional rental options specified ONLY for times specified above. • A grace period of 15 minutes will be given at the scheduled start and end time of the event. Any additional time will be billed at the full hourly rate. • There is absolutely no dancing or DJ service at the Snowden House. • A refundable damage deposit, determined by the Rental Coordinator, is due at the time when the rental agreement is signed. A date will NOT be secured in the calendar until the deposit is paid. Deposit will be cashed upon receipt and returned within 2 weeks post event pending no damages or breach of contract. • Renters are responsible for any damages they or their guests may cause. Any damages caused will be subject to the forfeiter of the damage deposit. Additional fees may apply. • Full balance of rental fee is due on or before the day of the event. A late fee of $25/day will be added for every day following the event that the balance is unpaid. • Cancellations will result in the forfeiture of the full deposit. Any cancellations made within 60 days of the event will result in an additional cancelation fee of 50% of the total rental fee. A date can be rescheduled at the discretion of the Rental Coordinator. • The Grout Museum District is a smoke free campus. There is NO SMOKING allowed anywhere on Grout Museum District property. • The Grout Museum District requires all events over 100 people to organize their catering through the Rental Coordinator. A gratuity fee of 18% will be added to the final catering total. • Any food brought in must be provided by a licensed caterer or have been previously arrange with the Rental Coordinator. If the food being served is from a home kitchen, a copy of home or renters’ insurance must be kept on file. • All after hours rentals over 75 people, with or without a bar, are required to have a security officer present. • All renters will abide GMD Alcohol Policy and by every regulation listed, especially those referring to the presence of liquor and or consumption of liquor on GMD property. Failing to do so will result in the forfeiter of your deposit and immediate cancellation of your event. (See attached) • Grout Museum staff is not responsible for clean-up other than table linens rented from the facility by the renter. Failing to do so will result in the forfeiter of your deposit. • No adhesives, pins, tape, or any other material causing permeant marks are allowed on facility walls. Any damages caused will be subject to the forfeiter of the damage deposit. • Open flames, glitter, confetti, and unanchored balloons are banned from all Grout facilities. Use of any of these items will be subject to the forfeiter of the damage deposit. • When using the elevator, do not stand in front of or forcefully block the elevator door from closing. Use the designated “open-door” button. Failure to do so may result in elevator malfunction and renter will be liable for repair costs.
