Ella Burling Hall and the adjacent Gallery provide a lovely and gracious setting for receptions up to 130 guests. Because it was designed as a family drawing room, Ella Burling Hall alone can be an intimate setting for a few people or comfortably accommodate 100 guests. The 15th century Elizabethan refectory table, other chests and antique tables along with servers can all be used to present food for your guests. There are cozy corners to sit and visit and enough space to dance or just relax and network with your friends.
Ella Burling Hall (EBH) enhances meetings, workshops and conferences by providing a beautiful as well as comfortable and functional workspace.
o Conference tables can be arranged to fit your needs.
o Seating can be in arranged in theater or conference style or more informally using a mixture of our drawing room furniture with other seating.
o There are 4 areas that can be used for break out rooms.
o The sound system includes up to 6 wireless microphones and is ready to be connected to your computer or projector.
o There is a large 8’w x 5’h projector screen as well as a small one.
o There are wireless and Ethernet connections in the Hall.
o A flip chart and white board are available
The 15th century Elizabethan refectory table, other chests and antique tables can all be used to present food for your guests. Our chef can help you design a menu that can be as elegant or informal as you wish. Ella Burling Hall is large enough for your reception with ample room for dancing. For music you may hire musicians or a DJ or connect your computer or MP3 player to our audio system. A wedding cake fits perfectly on one of our antique tables.

The Tudor gallery welcomes guests going to Ella Burling Hall. Carved Oak walls, softly lit by brass wall sconces and are hung with fine art. The Oak floors are covered in fine oriental carpets.

The Gallery creates a memorable first impression as guests come up the Great Staircase. Used in conjunction with Ella Burling Hall as additional reception area. The bar is often placed in the gallery to encourage guests to move about the rooms.

Originally the formal dining room in one of the great houses in Washington DC. This is the oak panelled dining room for International Student House. With leaded windows overlooking our garden, this is a convenient place for a week-day lunch function. The room can seat 50 at banquet tables.
