I recently attended a two-day conference at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in the District of Columbia. The Grand Hyatt is located in downtown Washington with many restaurants nearby, as well as public transportation centers. The Hyatt was an excellent venue for the conference because of the service provided, the elegant environment, and the overall appearance and organization of the event. All staff at the hotel were extremely helpful in terms of directions, checking in, and offering guests services offered by the hotel. The conference was divided into many smaller groups for one of the days at this venue easily managed this division. There was an entire floor dedicated to our conference that was located on the bottom floor. This allowed for smaller groups to meet in small rooms. The second day of the conference was comprised on meetings incorporating hundreds of participants and there were adequate rooms to hold such an audience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the acoustics were excellent for speeches and films. As a guest at the hotel for two nights, I was fortunate enough to sleep in a room on the 11th floor of the hotel. This provided me with an excellent view of the city. The room was elegant and tidy. I was extremely comfortable in this hotel and especially enjoyed the Starbucks coffee that is located in the lobby of the hotel. I highly recommend this venue for future conferences and hope that I will be attending more at this location.
