Machura is a great choice for a great show for your next event. Marv Machura performs classic country, folk, rock, and blues music. He performs solo with his guitar and voice. Machura is an old-school, traditional folk/roots performer who (unlike many of today’s solo and duo acts) does not rely on or use backing tracks, beats, harmonizers, computer tablets in his live shows. Marv Machura has released four acclaimed CDs, 15 current singles, and 20 published songs in Nashville. He has performed his songs at many Western Canadian music festivals, folk clubs, and concerts. Biographic Notes: Marv Machura grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, learning guitar and playing with the school band, and then as a guitar in various wedding/dance bands. At 18, he began touring as a solo act in North Central Alberta, publishing 20 songs in Nashville, being featured at country and folk festivals, such as the Edmonton Folk Festival. In 1990s and 2000s, he led The Marv Machura Band, a three-piece folk-rock band. Upon moving to Vernon, BC, in 2013, Marv Machura returned to his solo-performer roots, and he currently enjoys travelling and performing in the Okanagan and Thompson Valleys while he continues to write, record, and perform his own Western Canadian Roots music.
