About Roedde House Museum

Roedde House Museum, in Vancouver's West End, is a late-Victorian home in the Queen Anne revival style. Built in 1893 for the family of Gustav Roedde, the city's first bookbinder, it has been faithfully restored to reflect the day-to-day life of the Roedde family at the turn of the last century. The museum is available for special occasions such as weddings, receptions and other private events. Vancouver’s best kept secret, with its restored interior and its perfectly maintained garden and gazebo, will add old-world charm and originality to your most important day and make for great pictures. The fully renovated 1893 Steinway upright piano can add greatly to the enjoyment of guests. For catered events, the house has a small modern kitchen adjacent to the old-fashioned family kitchen, which is available for heating and serving food. Amenities include a range, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher as well as a convenient back-door parking and loading area. By choosing the museum, you will be offering your guests a unique and memorable experience. Come see for yourself! *During COVID the museum has capped capacity to 25 people (half normal capacity). Proof of double vaccination is required all event attendees.

Everyone loved the venue. It was so homey and so much to look at. We hired a piano player and the piano was in very fine form. Excellent event. Parking on a saturday night was a bit difficult for a couple of guests.
