Jilbert Winery is a great venue for a wedding. The dining hall is a convert barn, with beautiful woodwork and a big stone fireplace. It is best for smaller weddings. The room can hold about 100 people comfortably, we had around 70 and there was extra space. The dining hall opens up to a beautiful yard which we were able to use for the ceremony and reception. There was no fee to rent the space for about 5 hours. Any longer and you have to pay a small fee per hour. We just had to use their chef and buy their wine. There is also a patio which was perfect for a cocktail hour before the reception. It is covered and fit all of our guests comfortably even with tables scattered throughout. The wine is excellent and is very inexpensive. The owner will do wine tastings with your guests and teach them about the wines he makes. The winery has its own chef you have to use for the reception. The food was great and there are a lot of options. They have dinners on weekends, so it is easy to go and taste the food the chef can prepare. They are willing to work with you on the menu and were very flexible on the decorations, lighting, etc. There is no minimum amount of wine or food you must buy and you can set limits on how much you want to spend on wine. I really recommend this venue for anyone who wants a smaller, more intimate wedding in a beautiful winery setting.
