Kris and her husband, Roger, were an integral part of the founding committee that started Ozaukee Christian School (OCS) back in 1990. OCS started with only 13 students and 3 staff members. From this humble beginning, the school has grown to over 140 students and 27 staff members! Kris’s servant heart has led her to serve in many different capacities over her 35 years at OCS regardless of her official titles as Head of School, Administrator, and Principal. She has faithfully served in roles such as teacher, secretary, janitor, coach, fundraiser organizer, lunch mom, nurse, spokesperson, ambassador, field trip driver, counselor, mentor, greeter, and prayer warrior. The school was founded on the idea that the cord of three strands - Home, Church and School - need to work together in partnership to build a strong Christian foundation in a child’s life. Under Kris’s guidance and watch, God has used OCS to make a significant impact on molding the hearts, souls, and minds of over 1,900 unique students during her tenure.

We invite you to join us at an open-house style celebration to honor the many years of sacrifice both Kris and Roger have given to the vision of OCS, “Cultivating the next generation to impact the world for God’s glory!” This will be a time to share and hear the many stories of God’s faithfulness, provision, and guidance throughout the years. Feel free to come and go between 1PM and 4PM. There will be hors d'oeurves and refreshments served throughout the celebration. Please let us know you're coming by May 1st. If you are unable to attend the celebration in person, we have several ways to be involved with appreciating Kris. Please feel free to leave your favorite bible verse, prayer, or memory in the “Guest Book” tab or here – we will print these out for Kris to keep! You can also mail a card, letter, or word of encouragement to the school using “ATTN: KA Retirement” – we will add these to her card box.

***The Celebration Committee is taking a monetary contribution to bless Kris with a special gift! Please do NOT include your monetary gift inside the same envelope with your note or card if you want it to be pooled with other funds. We will NOT be opening appreciation cards prior to the celebration.***
In order to bless Kris with a very special gift, the Celebration Committee is accepting monetary contributions to be pooled together. The Celebration Committee has several gift ideas, depending on the total funds contributed, to bless Kris with an actual gift in leu of cash. This gift will be presented to Kris at the celebration. If you would like to be part of this very special gift, please send your contribution no later than May 1st, 2025.
Cash or checks can be mailed or dropped off at the school office.
