I'm a photographer based near Rossland, BC., and can travel as far as the Okanagan, Nelson for your wedding.
I've always had a camera in hand but was also trained by a large event and wedding photography company in Whistler.
My style is fairly simple - documentation of the wedding ceremony, trying to capture the emotions. Then shots of hugs, kisses and smiles with the newlyweds before doing group and family photos. I like to start with the largest group and then 'peel' the people away until we're down to just the main wedding party and then the newlyweds. I try to get all that done as fast as possible - lets face it, people would rather be getting on to the reception and party.
If I'm to be at the reception too then I'll look for details and overall shots of the location. For the speeches I'll try to capture the reactions to what's being said, not just focus on the speaker. Usually there are tears and big belly laughs.
Turnaround for a few 'taster' images is usually a couple of days, followed by the full set of high and low resolution digital images within a week or so. Delivery can be by Dropbox, or by USB stick.
