Will the band play what you asked them to play or only what they know ? Will they learn songs you asked them to learn ? Will they promptly return emails and phone calls with changes or amendments to your plans ? Will they be courteous and respectful to your guests especially since they have microphones. Do they have testimonials you can cross reference ? Will they provide comprehensive liability insurance in the event they are responsible for any damages ? Is there more than one singer in case the one singer in the band is ill (especially these days) ? Do they play more than one style ? Do they provide a full production system including everything required for power, sound and/or lighting or is there an additional fee ? Do they have an extensive and broad spectrum song list to suit a wider age demographic if need be ? Do they have years of experience playing at private events and have the ability to change things up if needed (song choices are not going over, band is too loud, a guest shouts out a request, Uncle Bill wants to get up and sing a song etc.) or are they strictly a bar/club band and not used to “moving parts” “Amazing musicians and such a pleasure to work with.
