Marlon and Team with Thousand Oaks catering/Best Western PLUS Hotel in Thousand Oaks were TOPS and presented a united front to provide our event and lodging guests with a stellar presentation of venue space, technical support and a superb catered lunch and beverage service on 14 September 2024. Food was excellent! Our group of approximately 20 ordered the Italian Menu and feasted on very well prepared and tasty salad, dressings, chicken parmesan, linguini, and beef lasagne, along with warm rolls. The place was setup to our liking, all the audio visual equipment worked perfectly, someone was able to join us from Oregon on zoom software. At the end of the event the staff packaged all the leftover foods in to-go containers, and labelled them for all of us. They even let us stay an extra half hour to allow for long goodbyes. Honestly, you would be hard pressed to find a better situation for your group at the price. Chris Pruitt
I recently held a workshop for my organization at this banquet center, and it was amazing service all around. Marlon really helped me make my vision a reality. The guests loved the place, and the food. Would definitely use this venue again in the future.
Last month, we held a celebration of life for my dear mother using the large banquet room. Marlon and the whole TOI Banquet Center team made the process so easy for my sister and I. They helped us create a beautiful setting for her service and helped us turn a sad occasion into a true celebration.
As a corporate trainer, I have to deal with a variety of training sites that I do not get to choose for myself. I always enter a new site with apprehension. My apprehension was totally misplaced with my experience at the Banquet facility at Best Western. The staff was extremely helpful and very accommodating to me, allowing me early access to the space and even helping me set up and repack my training tools. They checked in with me often throughout the day and enabled me to conduct the training without concern that the space would be disturbed. I recommend their services without reservation.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed the entire evening. Marlon and his crew setup the room in a very functional and decorative way. Tables and chairs were arranged to allow intimate conversations, while making it very easy to get food/drink as needed. All audio/visual devices worked greatly, including being able to zoom in someone from Oregon! You will not be sorry if you book a room through Marlon at this hotel. We are looking forward to doing it again!

The TOI Banquet Center did a wonderful job for our Celebration of Life event. We had just 2 weeks to pull together the event while mourning a loss. Marlon the Director of Banquets worked with me, my multiple questions, and my unusual requests to make it a beautiful day. I would definitely use this venue again.
We had a wonderful time together last Sunday. Starting off with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres in the Library and finishing in one of the banquet rooms. Everyone had a wonderful time. The food was plentiful and tasty.
I wanted to share my experience with TOI. Marlon was absolutely incredible during the process from beginning to end. He was always available via phone or e-mail with any questions I had. He has such a calm and trustworthy demeanor I truly felt supported. Every expense was laid out and gone over, no surprise fees. I never once felt pressured. We came to Marlon with quite an atypical plan. To host a surprise wedding for 50 guests. Under the guise of an engagement party, during the event it would then be announced that it was our wedding. The day of our wedding, Marlon was so professional. Along with his staff, he ensured everything ran smoothly and in a timely manner. I felt I was fully able to enjoy my special day. I loved the ceremony site. It was outside and away from the ballroom. It was beautiful in the center of the courtyard, surrounded by lush greenery. The event day, every room was fully booked and sold out. Despite this, there was no unnecessary noise nor interruptions during the ceremony. The ballroom was huge! It has many upgrades and choices to really jazz up the decor. We only brought in centerpieces for each of the tables. Everything else looked wonderful and really upscale. I can honestly say this was the wedding of my dreams. I am so glad with our choice of TOI. Not a single regret. Thank you so much!
Our Delta Kappa Gamma Group of 73 had an event at the Thousand Oaks Inn. The staff was very helpful in making our event a success. The room was amazing and fit us all comfortably. Tables requested for display and round tables for seating were all set up and covered in white linin table clothes as requested. The price was reasonable in relations to other venues we explored first. I was impressed by the communication, ease and cooperation that the Thousand Oaks Inn provided. I would use this venue again and highly recommend them to other organizations.
Our family is growing. Our home is not. So we decided to check our a local hotel and its conference/ball rooms. Marlon Herrera was most helpful throughout the entire process: from booking the venue, picking the menu, obtaining family Covid hold harmless forms and every question in between. The night of the even Marlon was on site and Leena was our hostess for the evening. Our party was great, relaxed and fun. We all enjoyed...Thanks to TOI. We have already booked for 2022!
This is my very first review ever, so it goes without saying the wonderful experience compelled me to write this. Marlon Herrera, Director of Banquets at the Thousand Oaks Inn and the entire staff far exceeded our expectations. I reserved the TOI banquet hall for my husband’s 50th surprise birthday party and Marlon did an incredible job from the signing of the contract to the very end of the event. I was extremely impressed by the how smoothly the staff ran the event, they were always two steps ahead of me. Marlon and his staff were readily available to answer questions, offered great suggestions, and made sure all aspects of the event were handled efficiently and professionally. I will highly recommend this venue. Thank you, TOI for an incredible and memorable time!
Marlon and his staff made the process of throwing a party for 130 people wonderful. They took care of everything and allowed us to just enjoy the party.
I highly recommend TOI Banquet Center for any of your upcoming events. We are so pleased with the service we received and they were so happy to accommodate our needs! The food we ordered was beautifully displayed and delicious!! Their prices are fair and I would definitely plan our next event with them. Their Banquet manager and servers were well ahead of all our needs of the evening!!
TOI was a wonderful place to have our Celebration Of Life for my husband. Marlon was great to work with. I would recommend this facility for any kind of event. This is the 3rd time I have had an event here and they were always accommodating.
I recently helped plan our 40 year high school reunion at the TOI Banquet Center. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting, and it was very reasonably priced! Marlon and his staff were wonderful and the catering by Pizza Cookery was amazing! Nothing but positive feedback from all the guests. I would not hesitate to plan an event here again. Twice a year, my colleagues and I hold a CABI sample sale in the TOI banquet room. Marlon, the Banquet Director, is so accommodating and everything runs seamlessly. We've also held a fashion show there and the room was decorated beautifully. Not only is the location convenient, but the space is perfect and the price is right. I highly recommend this venue.
We use their facilities for our twice yearly clothing sample sale. Always a great experience and staff are helpful, venue is clean and ready for our set up and our requests are accommodated with a smile. Highly recommend
Our wedding was unbleievable, Carol and her crew delivered everything they promised and more. I only had to handle two things the guest list and the invitations. I chose the Diamond Jubilee package as I have a busy career and no time or talent to plan a wedding. I figure Carol saved us about 20K We had a large wedding and used her event tent. It was fabulous. From flowers to ceremony to Chefs food. It was a day everyone there will remember forever.Kudos to Frankie the house DJ for making the party happen. Their motto is we think of everything so you don't have to. And they do, I recommend Carol and her crew to anyone looking for a perfect day. That is how we will always remember our wedding day.
