My name is Ursula Page and I am an on-location photographer based out of Thomasville, Georgia. I am married with 3 kids, 2 boys and a little girl, and I am sure you will see a bit of them on the website and blog I started dabbling in photography after a few years of taking my oldest son to department and chain stores for pictures and walking out disappointed every time. I realized that setting my child down on a stool and having someone bark out orders for him to smile for 15 minutes was just not working. My son was often scared and he never wanted to sit still. More than once, I left without one good picture and the smiles I sometimes managed always looked forced. This fueled my interest in photography, and I purchased my first 35mm camera and began the learning process. I still feel like I learn something new every time I pick up my camera, read a new photography book, or proof a new session. As a mom of three children, I realize how precious the special moments in life are because time passes by so quickly. There were so many sweet expressions and funny faces that I never recorded when my boys were little and I have forgotten them as time has passed. I strive to capture these moments with my camera for all my clients. My goal as the photographer is to bring out the true essence of the people I photograph. My photos are modern, casual, candid and taken from a photojournalist approach. I strive for the personalities to shine through and when you look at the pictures, it is the real person and those looks you “know” right in front of you. I take it as the biggest compliment when a mother raves to me that I captured just who her child was at that moment. To me, that is pure perfection and I know that I have done what i set out to do.
