Our Virginia banquet hall is located in the heart of the historic downtown wharf area of Staunton Virginia, thirty minutes west of Charlottesville, and thirty minutes South of Harrisonburg, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Offering an inviting atmosphere, our mid 19th century graceful design features dramatic chandelier lighting with exquisite hardwood floors, and rustic decor that was recently renovated. The Banquet Room hosts a year round uniquely beautiful site for rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, anniversaries, engagement parties, bridal showers, civic events, family reunions and business events. We have room for a seated reception accommodating 225 with additional room for a bar, candy bar, cake table, gift table, dance floor, along with space for your band or DJ. Ample parking exists around The American Hotel along with additional parking in our two story garage. Caterers enjoy the use of our large prep room, counter space, and a shelved cooler. You may use any Caterer of your choice.
