About Community Sailing Center

The Community Sailing Center is a lively hub on the shores of Lake Champlain, less than a mile from downtown Burlington, VT, where community members and visitors gather to laugh, learn, and play on the lake together. The CSC was founded in 1994 as a place for the community to connect with the lake and each other, where sailing and paddling are tools that enrich people’s lives, teach valuable life lessons, offer a unique educational experience, and instill a sense of ownership in one of Vermont’s most valuable natural resources - Lake Champlain. In 2017, the Community Sailing Center completed construction of the first new building on the Burlington Waterfront in over 20 years. Starting in 2018, this beautiful new facility is available to the community to rent for gatherings and events. Be one of the first to celebrate your special occasion in this purpose-built, Net Zero building and support our mission to provide lake access, recreation, and education for all.

40th Birthday Party - An Eventective User from sailing center

The setting and view are second to none and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Our guests were delighted to discover this space and everyone had a wonderful time!

Just wanted to say how absolutely perfect the Community Sailing Center was for our dance party. The elevators allowed our mobility impaired guests to enjoy, and the musicians and dj, and caterers to load in an out easily. The skatepark was used by some of our younger guests and the sunset views were spectacular!

Beautiful event spot! - An Eventective User

We rented the Big Ed classroom for a family reunion for about 25 people for half a day. Beautiful view of Lake Champlain. They had a kitchenette off the space and it worked out perfectly. Tilly was very helpful in booking and taking care of our needs that day. Reasonable price and very easy to deal with. Plenty of parking for what we needed.
