All drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) would need to be bought through us and are not included in the rate. We can run an open, cash, or combination bar. Open bar is charged on actual consumption plus a gratuity. You can bring in any professionally prepared food (from a caterer, restaurant, supermarket, deli, etc), but nothing homemade. There is no fee or restricted list of caterers, but we would need to talk to your caterer in advance to make sure they can work with the options we have available. You would also be responsible for bringing or renting any extra tables and/or equipment you require, as well as linens, glassware/silverware/plates (the bar serves in tasteful plastic otherwise), and any other decorations. Please note that while our staff will provide basic table setup and breakdown, you would be responsible for decorating the space. Relatedly, total time in the space should include time for setup and breakdown. As mentioned bar staff is included, but we don't provide waiters / servers, and if this is something you would like for your event you should consult with your caterer / event planner on appropriate staffing for your needs. Our Main Hall has a strict sound limit of 105dB and event curfews are 11:30 PM (Sun - Wed) and 1:00 AM (Thu - Sat), meaning you must be cleared of the space by then. Our bar cannot serve past 11:00 PM, and all music also has to end by 11:00 PM. We require all upcoming events to obtain one-day event insurance, with the Arts at the Armory listed as additional insured. This should represent roughly an additional cost of $125 to you. Additionally, total bar sales during the event must meet a minimum of $500; if this minimum is not met, you will owe the difference (it is extremely rare for an event not to meet this minimum; to give an idea, if only 50 people purchase one $10 drink, the minimum is met.)

Most events opt to plug a phone into our sound system and put on a playlist, but if you're looking to have live music at your event, as a heads-up our sound license is pretty strict. As a result, we can't be too loud (basically no drums and fairly low amplification), and all live music needs to end by 9:30 PM Sunday to Wednesday, 10:30 PM Thursday through Saturday.
