Robert Allen has been interested in music since the early age of seven when he performed at a school talent show in his hometown of New, London, CT.
Robert takes his music very seriously. He is a talented lead vocalist, songwriter and arranger, and is professionally proficient on rhythm guitar and harmonica. He also plays some lead guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, keyboards, and percussion instruments.
Robert has formed several outstanding bands in his career, and has done demo work at many well known recording studios. He fronted for Stonewall Jackson both on the Grand Ole Opry and on the road.
Robert Allen directed, hosted, co-produced and co-edited “Songwriters”, a 30 minute Atlanta area community access TV show featuring up and coming songwriters of all genres.
Robert has opened shows on the road with Grand Ole Opry members Stonewall Jackson, Dolly Parton, Emmy Lou Harris, Wilburn Brothers, Charlie Louvin, Charlie Rich, Jeannie Sealy, Justin Tubb, Grandpa Jones, Sheb Wooley, Dave Dudley, Marvin Rainwater, Pee Wee King, and the list goes on…and on…
Robert Allen has performed at: Grand Ole Opry, Midnight Jamboree, Nashville Palace, venues all around the Nashville area, many State Fairs and Conventions, and a USO tour to Italy, Greece, Spain and Turkey
Robert has released three albums, “Something To Remember Me By” (all original), “Country Treasures”, and his Christmas cd “It’s That Time Of Year Again.
DJs are playing Robert’s songs on about 100 stations in the U.S. and in these countries: Australia, Holland, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, England, Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Austria, Canada, France, United Kingdom, Norway, Scotland, Malta, and Japan.
Robert’s original songs have been licensed for the movies Coney Island Baby, Val Kilmer’s Conspiracy, and Coyote County Loser, the DVD release of the television series The Fall Guy – Season 1, Showtime’s series Huff, A&E, Discover Channel, Travel Channel, Animal Planet, and others.
