My wife and I spent months trying to find the right venue. We planned on a hundred and fifty attending people, maybe sneaking up to a hundred and seventy, but we had to do it within a budget. The Halls of St. George was the seventh or eighth place we looked at. First, we were delighted to see that the entire place was a family business, and it was all inclusive. This saved both money and headaches. The venue had its own catering, bar and table decorations. We had an appointment, sat down, and were presented with the options. They were delightful and thorough and did not try to push the most expensive packages. I think, when it was said and done, that it cost us around thirty-five dollars a person. Even more helpful was them letting us use a side conference room for the actual ceremony. A friend was doing the service, and we didn’t have a church, so the conference room was put to use. Now, I have been to dozens of weddings, and there is not a single thing more convenient then having the service and the reception in the same building. It is a beautiful thing, not only for us but for the guests. The Halls of St. George dressed the room up beautifully, so it did not look like a conference room, but rather a lovely reception room. The food was excellent, the decorations perfect, and everything exceeded our expectations. The owner was there actually preparing food and overseeing the entire event. I cannot recommend the Halls of St. George enough!
