Monica is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. Her college education led her to Colorado where she attended Colorado State University graduating in Food and Nutrition. She had settled in the Denver area after graduating and marriage. Spring of 2013 brought Monica, her husband, and three daughters back to Utah to live. At the age of 5, Monica began her musical studies on the piano. By the age of 12, she decided she would like to shift her musical studies to another instrument. It was at that time she began her studies of the harp under the instruction of Julie Gaisford Keyes. For the past 17 years she has been performing for live audiences including harp competitions and recitals, wedding ceremonies and receptions, cocktail hours, dinner parties and many other events in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nevada, and Nebraska. Monica's harp is a beautiful hand-crafted instrument. Her pedal harp is a Venus Classic Grand Concert made of maple hardwood in a natural finish, with cascading hand-carved roses adorning the column.
