I've been mixing live sound professionally for twenty years. I have an extremely compact, high fidelity sound system suitable for audiences of 500-1500. It can throw clear balanced loud music 100' with speakers elevated on 12' stands such that the audience near the stage is not being blasted. Just like a line array, but for half the cost.
