Our outdoor bamboo garden has a canopy to shade you from the sun and is located in the center of our acre wide resort near downtown San Diego. It is a private 675 sq ft open lounge setting that is perfect for hosting friends, family, or business meetings. Wifi is excellent, our BBQ's are 9k BTU's and 12k BTU's respectively.
The two 50" tv's have hook ups for laptops and streaming apps, perfect for slide shows, sports, or YouTube.

As soon as you arrive, you'll feel welcomed by the peaceful atmosphere of Good Life Vacation Rental Resort's beach. Our rental space is complete with cabana style areas, corn hole sets, and mood lighting to create the perfect ambiance for your event. It's an exceptional spot for any type of gathering, and we're confident you'll love the experience. We take pride in providing a professional and welcoming environment for all of our guests.
SPEAKERS: To keep your guests entertained and engaged, we provide SONOS connected surround sound wifi (7-speakers and AMP) that you can control via your own playlist. Outside speakers over 18" tall are not allowed.
GOOD LIFE VACATION RENTAL RESORT: This event space is our resort lobby, which is reserved for your group during your event hours. We provide a dedicated ADA bathroom for your event space with a single access digital code for your group only.

Welcome to Grass is Greener Event Space! We offer 2 event tents for groups up to 150 guests. You will have private use of 1 or 2 event tents; depending on your group size.
Perfect for a variety of events:

FOOD: Event space includes a 18' wide by 40' long space for food truck parking. You are welcome to invite a food truck or caterer to pull up directly next to your event tents. We have a list of recommendations, please inquire. (Note, Good Life Resorts does not provide the actual food truck).
ALCOHOL: We offer competitively priced alcohol packages from our distributor that is hassle free! Events over 50 people require alcohol purchased through us. A private bartender is also highly encouraged!
KID FRIENDLY: We allow kids to enjoy our spaces. Parents must monitor their children and take full responsibility for any damages incurred.
BATHROOMS: 1 ADA bathroom will be provided for up to 70 guests. 2 bathrooms will be provided for 71+ guests.
SAFETY & ADA ACCESS: Our event spaces at Good Life Vacation Rental Resort are within the hotel boundaries and have access via lift or flat landing. Walkways are ada compliant. Exiting and fire path plans follow local compliance. This is not a backyard; it's a legal hotel.
PRIVACY: Our astroturf and tent event space resides within our hotel, known as Good Life Vacation Rental Resort. The beach lobby and welcome area of our event space within our acre resort 12 blocks east of Downtown San Diego. You will see other vacation rental guests in the beach area

General Event Space

Historic church designed by Irving Gill, famed architect and inventor of "modern architecture" in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Converted during 2022, the amazing space boasts unique arches with double hung windows, an 80 foot long brick wall and original hardwood floors from 1909.
Interior includes wide open 70' long interior with 13' high brick wall. Full kitchen with 40' live edge table is perfect for team meetings, birthday dinners and special events.
Exterior deck provides space for events up to 120 guests, 2 bbq areas. Perfect for weddings, corporate breakout groups, conferences, birthday parties, and gourmet chefs.
