Terms of Service for Wedding Photography Services
1. Booking:
- To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total estimated cost is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is due on the day of the event, prior to the start of the photography session.
- Bookings are confirmed only after the deposit has been received and a confirmation email has been sent by the photographer.
2. Payment:
- Payment for services is calculated based on the agreed-upon event rate determined by people attending, event location, and hours required. Additional hours or services requested during the event will be billed at an additional agreed-upon rate and must be paid in full at the conclusion of the event.
- Accepted payment methods include credit card, bank transfer, payment apps, or cash. Final payment must be completed before any photos are delivered.
3. Cancellation and Rescheduling:
- If the client needs to cancel the booking, they must notify the photographer at least 72 hours before the scheduled event. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
- If the client wishes to reschedule the event, they must provide at least 72 hours' notice. The deposit can be applied to the new date, subject to the photographer’s availability. Rescheduling requests made within 72 hours of the event may incur an additional fee.
- In the unlikely event that the photographer must cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances, the client will receive a full refund of the deposit, or the deposit may be applied to a rescheduled date at the client's discretion.
4. Event Details and Requirements:
- The client agrees to provide the photographer with all necessary details about the event, including location, time, and any specific shots or moments they wish to capture. This information should be provided at least two weeks before the event.
- The client is responsible for ensuring that the photographer has access to the event location and any required permissions or passes to capture the event.
5. Delivery of Photos:
- Photos will be delivered digitally within 14 business days after the event unless otherwise agreed upon. The client will receive edited high-resolution images suitable for both print and web use.
- Any additional editing requests beyond the agreed-upon deliverables may incur additional fees.
6. Usage Rights:
- The client retains the rights to use the photos for personal and business purposes, including marketing and promotional materials. However, the photographer reserves the right to use the images for their portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
7. Liability:
- The photographer will take all reasonable care to capture the event as requested. However, in the event of technical failure, equipment malfunction, or any other unforeseen circumstances that prevent the photographer from fulfilling the contract, liability is limited to the return of all payments received.
