San Antonio based guitarist Randy Cordero began his training at an early age. He has studied with such prestigious guitarists as Rene Heredia, Paco Garrigues "El Chatarrero", Chuscales, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Pedro Cuadra and Domingo Rubichi. Randy’s musical style is a blend of authentic Spanish flamenco with modern, contemporary influence. Randy as a solo flamenco guitarist can transport your guests to the heart of Southern Spain with its passionate, ambient rhythms; or a full flamenco show by Randy and his skilled dancers can provide an energetic and engaging entertainment experience to remember. Randy is available for private parties, rehearsal dinners, receptions, cocktail hour, corporate events, b-day parties etc...
Randy has performed throughout Texas, Colorado and Mexico and has collaborated with many professional flamenco artists and flamenco dance companies throughout these areas. As an accompanist, Randy has the knowledge to deliver a full flamenco show for any event utilizing his years of experience working with flamenco dancers, singers, and other musicians. Randy can also be seen featured in the nationwide television commercial for York Air Conditioning Company. Randy has been featured on many local television and radio broadcasts including San Antonio’s WOAI Morning Show, Musica Suave 90.3 in Corpus Christi, and the Sonny Melendrez Morning Show, Fox 29 News.
Randy has set goals to broaden public awareness for this exciting and passionate art form called flamenco; through live performances, lectures and demonstrations both privately and for the public. In 2005 Randy enjoyed an extended stay in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain where he studied the Jerez style of Flamenco with Master Guitarist Domingo Rubichi. Randy plans to return to Spain in the near future to continue studying the challenging and authentic flamenco style unique to Jerez. Educational presentations about the culture and history of Spain relating to flamenco and gypsy life can also be provided
