My wife and I were looking for catering for a wedding on a budget. We had already called several local companies. It seemed that none of them would be able to meet our budget needs without a serious sacrifice in quality. This was a wedding, one of the most important days of our daughter's life! We were referred to a quaint shop in the avenues of downtown Salt Lake City – Good Day Catering. We lived close by so we decided to go in person. When we entered the shop we were immediately greeted and given a sample of the day's pastries. We explained our needs and Christine, the manager, spoke with an understanding smile. She was willing to work with us on our needs, and cater not just to our appetites, but also to our needs for service within a budget. When we had set up all the dates and places and times through Christine and her daughter Amanda, we felt that we could trust this important day to them. They were cordial and accommodating in every regard. The menus were customizable, to include or exclude whatever options we'd like. They even included our favorite as an appetizer: libkes. When the reception day finally came, the place we had reserved was decorated, correctly coordinated for colors, and arranged nicely. The smell of the main course was tantalizing. The food was served table by table by a set of waitresses, with a buffet line set up after the main course. Having coordinated for weddings before, I was pleasantly surprised that Good Day Catering not only set up for us, but also cleaned up and locked up afterwards, allowing us to go home at a much more decent hour than we otherwise would have. The experience with this company has led us to place them at the top of our list for our future catering venues.
