My name is Ananda Satya and I am a Native San Diegian. I have lived in San Diego California for most of my life with visits to Indiana, Michigan and Nevada, and longer extended stays to Chicago Illinois and Berlin Germany. I began my Professional Photography business in Chicago Illinois in 2003 where I sell professional postcards to Northwestern University, Campus Gear and Becks Bookstore in Evanston Illinois. I began my Wedding and event photogaphy business in 2008 when I returned in San Diego California after 8 years of graduate school. . I have been awarded the Wedding Wire Couple Choice Award for from 2009-2016! I specialize in Wedding and Engagement Photography. I also do a variety of event photography including family, children, baby portraits, reunions, graduations, and birthdays, baby showers, anniversary, and life celebration sessions. Outside of photography I taught Humanities and Philosophy courses at several community colleges in the San Diego area for 10 years and at a few colleges in Illinois from 2000-2007. I have a BA in Philosophy, a MA in Philosophy and a MA in German Literature and Poetry. I have been college teacher for over 15 years. I am proud to say that thousands of students have passed through my classrooms in Chicago and San Diego, many of which I am still in touch with and have gone on to pursue careers in medicine, teaching, law, social work to name a few. I have recently moved to Salt Lake City in July 2016 where my husband Ben has been awarded his own Cancer Research Lab at the Huntsman Cancer Institute/University of Utah. I will teach Humanities and Philosophy courses at Salt Lake City Community College beginning this Fall 2016, I am very excited to continue to my very successful Professional photography business here in Salt Lake City and the Utah County. I cannot wait to capture the sights and sounds of Utah. I am still available to shoot weddings and other extended events in San Diego as well as other parts of Southern California and Nevada.
