A very classy and Professional place to book - An Eventective User from Fort Stewart, Georgia

My event was a banquet style occasion. It was for approximately 80 people honoring my mother on her 90th birthday. The location was decorated beautifully. The staff were very professional at all times. The food was great as most of my guests complimented. If I were to schedule another event in Salisbury, I would definitely book with the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

Civic Center: A great place for birthday parties - An Eventective User from Salisbury, MD

I recently helped to plan my younger brother's 16th birthday party at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in the Denang Rooms. The Civic Center is the main location in Salisbury, Maryland where big events such as concerts, graduations, and conventions are held, but they also rent out space for meetings , events, and weddings. We had a very good experience with this location. The room as a nice size, the facility was clean, and the staff were willing to help with any of our needs both before and during the event. We had a DJ in the room, and it easily accommodated his needs, both space-wise and outlet/electronic wise. There were about 120 people at the party and it was a comfortable fit inside the room. Parking at the Civic Center is one of the easiest places in town, since you have a huge parking lot at your disposal for your guests right on the premises. The price was certainly decent for the space and the service. You can have your events catered through in house catering if you choose, but we did not want to since it was just for a birthday party. Additionally, even though there was another event being held in a different room, there were no noise issues or complaints for either group. Overall, I think that it is a great venue for an event such as a birthday party or a shower. I don't think that I would recommend it for something as upscale as a wedding or formal event though, as none of the rooms feel extra special.
