My wife and I got married in St. Paul, Minnesota on November 18, 2011. I am from South Carolina, but we went up to to St. Paul/Minneapolis, twin cities area of Minnesota where she was born and raised to get married. We wanted a venue that was not very big, indoors (since the wheather in Minnesota can be unpredictable in November), cozy, and a friendly staff. Summit Manor was the first place we went and looked at and it was the perfect place for us. We did not even look anywhere else. David, the man who organizes and plans wedding at Summit Manor, we one of the nicest people I have ever met and was very easy going and cooperative since we were planning this wedding while living in South Carolina. The three story, older house was the place we held the wedding and the rehersal. There were around 250 people that came and the place never seemed to be too small. I enjoyed that this place was different that where typical weddings are held and that we did not have to do a lot of extra planning. The place was decorated already, the venue has its own kitchen and catering service, they also set up a DJ for the reception. This place was really great and just what we were looking for. I am pleased by our decision to get married at Summit Manor and I would recommend this venue to anyone who desires a smaller wedding with an intimate feel to it.
