The purpose of the Apawamis Club is to provide a special place where members can be with family and friends and enjoy dining and social events, as well as athletic and wellness activities.
It was at Apawamis on January 6, 1945, that President George H. W. Bush and Rye’s own, Barbara Bush, who was then Barbara Pierce, hosted their wedding for more than 250 guests. As that legacy of memories moves forward, the Club continues to be a gathering place for the most elegant affairs and special moments celebrated by our members.
Our Director of Special Events and the talented Apawamis team invite all members and outside guests to let them assist in all their planning needs. Our staff can help you to coordinate all the details, no matter how small or big the event. The team will help secure a photographer, develop décor ideas and table settings, and contact the florists who will best suit the needs of our party hosts. Our culinary team will provide extensive menu options from fine dining to casual fare to select a menu that is right for your event. The Apawamis team will be on hand from beginning to end to allow the hosts and their guests to enjoy the event and to ensure everything runs smoothly.
