Ivy Hall is composed of grand rooms with floor to ceiling walls. Each room offers floor-to-ceiling windows, private deck or balcony space and custom, built-in bars. Both rooms have just been refurnished with beautiful antiques and art and each offers private accommodations for a bride to use on the day of her wedding. They are situated on two different floors overlooking 25,000 sq acres. The deck area behind Ivy Hall, complete with a full-sized fountain and pond, offers a lovely outdoor space for a wedding ceremony. A beautiful overall experience I would recommend this venue to everyone. I always jump at the chance to recommend this place to any and every one. This venue is filled with plenty of space inside as well as out. This venue is perfect for weddings, anniversaries or even ordinary events. The homey elegant feel this venue gives off creates an experience for the guest and the wedding party. My experience was a brilliant one and I can only shed a glimpse of light on the magnificence of the grand features of the venue. If you like the feel of pine and the aroma of summer year round then this is the venue for you. Great venues are hard to come by but when you find something as beautiful and as this in a remote area I urge you to take the chance on a stunning opportunity. I hope you enjoy this venue as much as I did.
My sister just got married at the Historic Roswell Mill in Roswell, GA in August. What I loved about this place is that it was a part of our childhood. We both grew up in Roswell and it really brought home the nostalgia of our growing up and the times we had around this venue. The mill stopped working long ago, but it is now vibrant with local shops and quaint restaurants. The best adjective I can give about the venue is historic and rustic. The events company we used to coordinate the event really pulled out all the stops and had all the outside and inside space we needed to have the reception inside and have a live band and dance the night away in the evening of Summer. I can tell my sister had her sights on this venue from the beginning and had always planned on having her wedding there someday. The mill overlooks a small river that runs through the area with nature trails. From an outside perspective, because I did have much with the planning of the wedding, the events company really pulled out all the stops and made the event a one stop shop without having to go out of the way to use too many other vendors because of the supplies they had a their disposal at the facility. When it comes time to plan my wedding with my future wife, I know it would be taboo to have it at the same place, but I would highly recommend the Mill to anyone, but especially locals to this area of North Atlanta. It is very picturesque and provides a great location and was very economical for what budget we had.
A good friend of mine recently got married, and her reception was held at Ivy Hall in Roswell, Georgia. Ivy Hall is located in historic Roswell Mill, and it turned out to be an excellent event venue, both for my friend and for us, her guests. Although she held only her reception there, it is my understanding that Ivy Hall also hosts weddings as well. The main hall boasts floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the venue's many decks and balconies, and the hardwood floor was both aesthetically pleasing and great to dance on as the night continued! The bar was well-stocked, and the bartender and waitstaff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I thought that Ivy Hall was especially comfortable in that there was clearly a main gathering area, but guests were able to step outside for a moment onto a number of less populated areas in case they needed to take a breather, make a phone call, or just take a walk around the rest of the mill. Overall, I would highly recommend Ivy Hall; I know that my friend and her guests considered the experience overwhelmingly positive.
