Manzo's has been a family favorite for years. When I was a child my father used to have his work functions at the location in Chicago. However, I was not aware of this when looking for a place to have my wedding a couple of years ago. I found Manzo's in a wedding magazine and gave them a call. Everyone was really nice there and the pricing folder they gave me was great. The folder outlines your options of having a package wedding with a reduced rate on Friday and a reasonable rate for Saturday. The package includes recommendations for bakeries, officiators, and flowers and they provide you with food options, tables, chairs, silverware, the bar and liquor, etc. They have a restaurant attached, so you are welcome to go in there and taste the food of which is delicious. During the wedding planning, BJ helped us plan everything, she was essentially our wedding planner, but only at the venue. She was very good about handling those familial arguments that break-out during such a stressful time and she knew all of the right things to ask. For instance, she would ask us if we had planned certain things or booked certain people in advance, so if we didn't know we had to, we could. On the day of my wedding things were very tense and I was very upset because our flower people forgot my "throw" bouquet. BJ stepped in taking a flower or two from every center piece so that I would have to throw my beautiful bouquet. Overall, the people at Manzo are wonderful and kind. They make their own ice cream and really make you feel a part of their family. My favorite part about this place is that when you walk in to the banquet portion of the venue you will see a long hallway. This hallway has a beautiful blue ceiling that reminded me of the sky. It is awesome for taking pictures. The Skinny - Have your wedding or events here! It is a bit outdated in decorating, but it is worth it because of how kind and wonderful the people are as well as the food and prices.
