I shopped at the Root System for an arrangement. I was seen immediately by a skilled florist who created a design on the spot that met my budget. She also asked me for color, mood, and specific flower preferences, but for the most part, she used her skill and creativity to create the best possible arrangement. After about ten minutes, the result was a beautiful and high quality product. In addition, it was the longest-lasting arrangement I have purchased in many years. In browsing while the flowers were being selected, I found interesting crafts, books, and a wide variety of garden items. The business is family owned and run, and in my opinion, this directly impacts the care and attention brought to the operation. They grow 2 acres of field-grown speciality cut flowers, and a total of 165 varieties of cut flowers and herbs for European floral arrangements. They also sell herbs, perennial and vegetable plants. They carry a full line of annuals, vegetables, perennials, hanging baskets and mixed annual pots available and grown on the premises. This florist is a gem in Rocky Hill and for this area of Connecticut.
