Artisan Jazz with its wide-ranging repertoire was born in 2004 at a Gallery Opening at Rochester’s Artisan Works out of a perceived need to create a warm, mellow, non-intrusive ambience that lends itself to not only art viewing but dining, dancing, or listening. The Artisan Jazz members, mostly members of the Eastman Community Education program, have played as a trio, quartet, and a quintet at such venues as the Memorial Art Gallery, The Little Theater, Writers & Books, private parties, special events, and coffee houses throughout the Rochester area. We pride ourselves on our flexibility, our wide-ranging jazz repertoire, and our abiltiy to meet the needs of our clients.
