About South Carolina/Georgia Prison Wedding Ministers

The 1987 US Supreme Court ruling (Turner vs Safley) declared that marriage is a fundamental right and inmates don't need permission to get married, I will speak to the fiancee seven days a week from 8 AM to 9 PM at our Virginia number or (After 7 PM ONLY at our Utah number) to discuss details and the process as well as your options, and the fiancee then explains the process to the inmate. I am aware of the confusion and misinformation on the internet especially from lawyers and DOC Websites. We are flooded with calls so make sure you leave a voice message if the voice mail comes on! Calls accepted from US numbers only! Rev. Byron Sichert, the top regional and remote Wedding Minister since 1983 (10 states), and his staff, perform SC and GA Correctional Facility Weddings, and will discuss the details on how to get your marriage to finally happen! Can SC/GA Prison and Jail inmates get married? The Answer is YES. Call me to discuss how to get the marriage license and how we can get the ceremony performed remotely! Forget what the Prisons tell you about not being allowed to get married in a SC/GA Prison! We have it in writing that all inmates have permission from the US Supreme Court to get married! We can discuss how marriage licenses have been obtained from another state and how marriage ceremonies have been performed remotely because that state does not require all of the persons involved to be in that state. A notary, which we will explain, meets with the inmate at the Prison and he/she mails the completed original affidavit, that we provide, back to the fiancee to get the marriage license and then sends us the license. South Carolina and Georgia notaries cannot perform your marriage ceremony since they are not authorized by the State that issued the Marriage License. Our non -refundable fee is only $100, and we will discuss courthouse fees and other possible fees. Don't give up now and give us a chance to help get you and your fiance married! Talk to us first before you talk to anyone else! The US DOJ is aware of this situation and our process! The US Supreme Court has approved and gave their permission to all inmate marriages. We perform non-religious, semi-religious, and Christian ceremonies.

Thanks to Rev. Byron for getting our Prison Wedding Done - An Eventective User from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Talking to the right person makes all the difference in the world! Rev. Byron knows a lot of marriage details that most people don't. He knew a way to get the marriage license and get the ceremony performed. It is great that everyone can call Rev. Byron to discuss their South Carolina Correctional Facility Wedding. We figured out how to get our marriage done - An Eventective User from Chesterfield, South Carolina

We are so excited that we called Rev. Byron and he told us the same thing several lawyers told us so we were able to get the marriage license in another state where the ceremony does not require everyone to be in that state at the time of the ceremony. We sent a notary to the prison to get a form notarized, and I did the same thing with my form. We sent them to that courthouse with the appropriate fees, and the notarized forms, and they mailed the marriage license to Rev. Byron and we had a remote ceremony. It went wonderful! Kita and Glenn

We finally had our Prison Wedding - An Eventective User from Ridgefield, South Carolina

The Truth about South Carolina Prison Weddings - An Eventective User from Aiken, South Carolina

What a relief to talk to Rev. Byron about proxy weddings. Several lawyers recommended states that offer proxy weddings but the law does not allow my fiance and I to do that type of ceremony. Thanks again for telling us how to get married! Terri and DeAndre

Wonderful Remote Wedding - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

Bob, and I are so glad that Rev. Byron was able to perform our marriage ceremony. All ceremonies are performed remotely so that guests from everywhere can witness the ceremony by phone or online. Rev. Byron charges $100 for a real marriage ceremony, which is a great relief knowing that the other area Officiants charge $500 for a I minute ceremony, with no guests. Robin and Bob

The Best in Virginia Zoom/Phone Weddings - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

We are so glad we got Rev. Byron to officiate our Wedding remotely. The other Roanoke Officiants average $500 for a1 minute ceremony and you can't have all of your guests there. Rev. Byron does a full ceremony and you can have all your guests with you, on Zoom, or phone. Don't make the mistake of getting stuck with a $500 Officiant for a 1 minute ceremony. Takia and Zach

Thankful for Online Weddings - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

God definitely has been with us during the marriage process, along with Rev. Byron. Thanks to Rev Byron we learned that Zoom/Phone/All Online Weddings are LEGAL in Virginia. He showed us the Commonwealth of Virginia memo in which the Virginia Attorney General confirmed their legalities. Rev. The Right Officiant - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

Bob, and I are so glad that we got Rev. Byron to perform our ceremony and it was wonderful. We had people on the phone from different parts of the country. We appreciated Rev. Byron emailing the memo from the Commonwealth of Virginia verifying the legality of phone and zoom Weddings. The other Officiants who charge $500 and up for less than 5 minute ceremonies all said that Zoom and Phone Weddings are not legal, but the Commonwealth of Virginia says that they are. Thanks, Rev. Byron Brittany and Bob

A Complete Ceremony for an Affordable Fee - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

Thank God we found Rev. Byron who performed a beautiful ceremony for us. It was well worth the wait since he is extremely busy because he performs almost all the Civil Ceremonies in the Roanoke area because other Officiants don't do what is required and charge ridiculous fees! Two of my friends met an Officiant who simply signed the license without performing the required ceremony, and my sister and her husband had an Officiant who rushed thru a one minute ceremony and only allowed a handful of guests. Rev. Byron emailed us the memo where the Virginia Attorney General declared that Zoom and Phone Weddings have always been legal in Virginia. Thanks, Rev. Byron. Karen and Patrick

Virginia New Year Wedding - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

Thank God for the Commonwealth of Virginia memo indicating that Zoom and Phone Weddings are Legal in Virginia. Too many people get wrong information from Circuit Courts who tell you what they think is right rather than what is right. The phone wedding worked perfect for us and we had a beautiful ceremony as well.

Doing it the Virginia Way - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

Thanks to Rev. Byron and Virginia for helping us do our wedding. My partner had to leave Virginia right after we got our marriage license to care for a sick family member and we knew he would not be able to come back for our wedding which could not be rescheduled. We were lied to by other Virginia Ministers and Virginia Courts who said he and the minister had to be present for the wedding. We also were lied to by Utah Ministers who told us we had to get a Utah license and get married by a Utah minister. Thank God we spoke to Rev. Byron who sent us the memo citing the Virginia Attorney General that said that my partner and our minister could be elsewhere and we can do a Zoom, etc or Phone Wedding. Rev. Byron performed a beautiful ceremony and we are so glad we listened! Tara and Travis

We wanted to thank Rev. Byron for being there for us and doing our civil ceremony and Elopement . Thanks to the expertise of Rev. Byron we did a phone wedding since my partner was unable to come to the States because of a health setback and poor connection. The Right Way To Go - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

We learned so much from Rev. Byron when he sent us the email citing the Virginia Attorney General. Knowing that Rev. Byron was able to marry us remotely made our day so much easier since we couldn't go to him and he couldn't come to us. We got married via a video call and we also included family and friends. For only $100 Rev. Byron performed a wonderful ceremony. Other officiants in our area wanted $500 for a five minute ceremony which is ridiculous! Thank You Rev. Byron. Nikki and Ricky

Great Choice - An Eventective User from Roanoke, Virginia

Rev. Byron was indeed the best choice for our civil ceremony and elopement. We had all of our guests by video and phone. The ceremony was nice and beautiful and we heard much better than the expensive area officiants. Thanks again, Rev. Byron! Sabrina and Curt

China Wedding thru Utah - An Eventective User from Beijing, China

My partner and I made the best decision of our lives by getting married in Utah through the Utah County Online Electronic Marriage License Process. We along with our two witnesses and guests were allowed to be anywhere since our officiant was in Utah. Utah was our only hope since our marriage could not occur legally in China.

Thank God for Utah! - An Eventective User from Washington, DC

Sherry and I planned on a DC judge marrying us by ZOOM but when we found out there is a three month wait for a marriage license and appt , we contacted Rev. Byron who directed us to the remote license option thru Utah County Utah and since the officiant was in Utah we and our two witnesses could be anywhere , and I can't travel because of health reasons. Thanks, Derek and Sherry!

Utah was the best option - An Eventective User from Colombus. Ohio

Since my partner and I were both injured in an auto accident and unable to leave our home without undue hardship, we did the Utah County Utah online electronic marriage license. With Rev. Byron in Utah and family and friends scattered through out the world, we had a much better wedding than a judge could ever do;

Thankful for a Minister - An Eventective User from Alexandria, Virginia

Thanks to Rev. Byron for his knowledge of the law. Robert and I had our wedding scheduled for months, and a week before the wedding, Robert had to fly to Maine to deal with the health issues of his mother. We started to panic, but Rev. Byron showed us the law that indicates that both parties are not required to be together during the ceremony. So we Zoomed Robert in on the Big Screen, and did a COVID style wedding! There is no way we could cancel the wedding and loose all that money! Rev. Byron was a life saver! Carla and Robert

Great Alternative - An Eventective User from Birmingham, Alabama

Thank God for Rev. Byron who suggested a ZOOM Wedding since the courthouses no longer do weddings with a judge. All we wanted originally was us and the judge, but we put together a ZOOM Wedding with people logged in all over the world. Thanks, Rev. Byron

Great Venue Wedding - An Eventective User from Memphis, Tennessee

Levander, and I had a wonderful ZOOM wedding with our minister, and other guests on the big screen. Rev. Byron gave us plenty of options for our type of ceremony, which the other Zoom ministers don't! Thanks, Rev. Byron!, Levander and Shanika

Customized ZOOM Ceremony - An Eventective User from Rockville, Maryland

Tobias and I were looking for the flexibility of a specially written ZOOM ceremony with a interfaith wording as well as certain family members participating in the ceremony. Rev Byron Sichert was indeed the best among ZOOM Wedding Ministers by allowing us to do everything we wanted to do, unlike the other officiants! All of the other officiants said they used their standard ceremony. We were not going to have a standard ceremony, like the courthouse, so Rev Byron make sure it was just what we wanted. Many Thanks, Kim and Tobias

Judge not available for our Day - An Eventective User from Columbus, Ohio

Melanie, and I had no judge available for our wedding day so we called Rev. Byron who suggested a ZOOM wedding which was the best idea since we had family in different countries. We had a great wedding, and Thanks, Rev. Byron. Jim and Melanie

Fabulous ZOOM Wedding - An Eventective User from Henrico, Virginia

We had a very traumatic situation when my then fiancee, Grant became ill out of state right before our wedding date. We checked with our officiant, Rev. Byron Sichert, about Virginia marriages, and he let us know that both parties are not required to be together at the time of the ceremony so we zoomed him in for the ceremony.

No Need To Wait For A Judge - An Eventective User from Charles Town, West Virginia

It was much easter to have everyone invited to a ZOOM wedding, rather than waiting for a judge at the courthouse with our family not there. Thanks, Rev. Byron for the great ceremony! Ralphael and Tabitha

Thankful for a Minister - An Eventective User from Birmingham, Alabama

Since Alabama no longer requires marriage ceremonies and the courts don't have anyone to perform marriage ceremonies, we looked for and found Rev. Byron Sichert to perform our ceremony. After filing all that was required with the court to be legally married, we had Rev. Byron perform a ZOOM ceremony with people logged in from different parts of the country.
