The Poe Museum is an oasis in the heart of historic Shockoe Bottom, Richmond, and the space is entirely inspired by Poe's poetry and tales. The rental fee includes use of the beautiful Enchanted Garden, and exhibits will remain open for event guests. The museum does not provide chairs, tables, tents, etc, but has vendors with whom we work. Set-up and clean up are the responsibility of the lessee, not the museum, including the disposal of trash and removal of decorations. The museum remains open for normal hours of operation, regardless of rentals. A space is available for the party as a dressing/staging area. No ceremonies, parties, receptions, etc. may take place until after 5pm with the exception of the 2-hour package. Fees: 4-hour rental: $3,000; available from 5pm to 10pm, Fridays-Sundays only; 75 guest maximum. Please note that only the four-hour package allows for the option to install an event-scale tent from our preferred vendor. 2-hour rental: $1,250 during open hours, or $1,750 for afterhours; available from 11am to 10pm Tuesday-Saturday; 12pm to 10pm Sunday; 25 guest maximum during open hours; 40 guests maximum afterhours. Micro events: *available to Poe Museum members only* $200/per hour; 2-hour maximum; available from 11am to 8pm Tuesday-Saturday; 12pm to 8pm Sunday; 15 guest maximum.
