When performing in the immediate NW Raleigh, NC area (includes Cary, Durham, most of Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, etc.), I can play music for as low as $150 minimum per hour (or up to any increment thereof, including a 15 minute singing telegram/serenade) if I am walking in to play your piano or using my guitar acoustically. This could include a small powered speaker for vocals if needed at no extra charge. This is great for entertaining/heartfelt singing telegrams, short presentations, kids birthday parties, senior communities and healthcare facilities, house parties, and intimate gatherings in private banquet rooms. This fee is also applicable to intimate indoor/outdoor weddings. (Higher powered speakers, full set up with electric keyboard, custom poetry, additional rehearsals, etc. will put us at a higher price range per hour). The small powered speaker will usually be used when the group is over 30 attendees. The hourly rates consider travel to/from my NW Raleigh location (within 30 minute radius), performance hours and setup/breakdown times. Additional travel, long/early set up times, down-time planned (for instance 2 sets with an hour wait in between based on clients program set up) in the middle of the performance hours will be charged. Your final fee will be determined based on these factors and set before we make a firm commitment.
**Note - I usually set a Maximum Performance time of up to 4 hours total any given date, with a 10-15 break after every hour of performance. (This does not affect the rest of my time on your premises for set up/break down, preparation, downtime on the job. It is specific to vocal/musician performance hours.) If you are looking for your entertainer to actively perform longer than this during your event, we can discuss how this might or might not be accomplished.

I can accept credit cards, ACH bank payments, and cash to my business Venmo account. All of these transactions will require a small service fee to offset my merchant fees (charged by the credit platforms). In some cases, I will accept checks, money orders, or cashier's checks.
The success of our agreement together will depend on our ability to connect and communicate quickly and clearly about your event needs, unexpected changes, expectations, plans, etc. I am your collaborator! We need to both be responsive to e-mails, phone calls, mail, and other necessary correspondence.
In the event of an emergency circumstances on my part that would keep me from performing as planned, your pre-payments will be refunded if we are unable to reschedule our commitment.

Paula will speak, conduct workshops and/or breakout sessions, or be the Master of Ceremonies at your event. The pricing includes client-speaker discussions to determine client needs, research, preparation, and the event activity itself. We determine the final fees based on the nature of your project, your location, travel expenses, whether or not book sales are allowed, and various other factors. All details will be firm before we make an agreement by signed contract.
