We signed the Grandview to host our wedding for several reasons and they came through on all of them. They gave us the best value for our dollar and they gave my husband and I peace of mind that they would do everything in their power to make our event a stress free success. The day of their service was excellent, many of my guests felt compelled to tip their waiters because they did such a great job, I didn't hear one complaint about the food and one of my guests said it was the best wedding he had been to all year! He had already attended three others, one of them being in Italy, if that isn't a compliment I don't know what is. What was most valuable to me the bride came from my maitree'd the day of. It was set up to have my ceremony on the back patio and sure enough it was a cloudy day with on and off showers. It meant a lot to me to have my ceremony outside and they allowed me to make that final decision as to where the ceremony would be held. They armed me with weather facts and alternate plans, should it down pour during our "I do's" or lightning. I made the call to have it outside as I had envisioned all along and it went perfect! Thank you Grandview for allowing me to have my picture perfect wedding day, my husband and I couldn't have asked for more.
In New York's beautiful Hudson Valley, there is no shortage of hotels and halls available to host your meeting or conference. The Grandview in Poughkeepsie, a relatively new facility, is far and away the best of them. My organization has used this venue for everything from annual board meetings to client events, from fundraisers to company Christmas parties, and The Grandview has never failed to deliver. The staff is accessible and helpful during the planning of an event, whether it's picking out table linens, organizing the layout of the room, or helping to plan the menu. The food is beyond compare, and we are always given several options to customize our menu. Hot and cold appetizers, carving stations, antipasto bars, served meals or buffet, I have yet to be disappointed with the cuisine. On the day of an event, we never have to worry about unexpected problems, as the managers and staff are on hand to deal with any issues that come up. Perhaps best of all, The Grandview has a glass-enclosed area in which guests can enjoy cocktails and appetizers while gazing out over the Hudson River, which is a particularly stirring sight in the fall when the leaves turn. The Grandview is not the cheapest venue in the area, and you have to book well in advance to be sure of getting your preferred date, but your attendees will be impressed with the food, the amenities and the attention to detail shown by the staff.
