Miller Hall with is bold architecture and a rough-hewn ambiance, the hall boasts an open broad-beamed 72-foot clear span ceiling with no posts to interfere with your function. Polished stone floors alternate with contemporary carpeting to lend a quiet elegance to the hall's spacious feeling. Adjoining the entry is an ample lobby that opens to a smooth-stone patio, which is ideal for starlight evenings and can be tented for events needing extra space. ADA restrooms and a large commercial-style kitchen are provided. With Miller Hall you can choose among a variety of seating arrangements for dining, audience presentations, classroom style, work groups, center stage performances, and more. Included are a raised stage, basic sound system, wall-mounted projection screen, and an array of adjustable lighting to suit your specific needs. An adjoining 120 sq-ft. cloakroom can also serve for set-up or other preparations.

In a beautiful park-like setting, Cheatham Hall provides an exceptional venue for your event. Adjacent to the Discovery Museum and surrounded by Portland's Washington Park, Cheatham Hall features stunning architecture and beautiful landscape. The nearby Washington Park MAX station provides excellent transportation alternatives. Ceilings that vault 20 feet high give the hall a sense of spaciousness. A U-shaped foyer surrounds the main hall and is suitable as a display area, reception space or for informal conversation during break periods. Located between the museum and Cheatham Hall, the 10,000 square foot plaza is shaped in an ellipse and the plaza's steps, ramps, and railings offer graceful lines and curves that provide a central focal point to our site. The Central Plaza offers ample space for outdoor events, displays, or shows. For audience events, the plaza offers seating space for up to 300 in a gentle arc of its stair-step design. Plus, a drive-up ramp allows for easy plaza-level delivery from the street.

An adjacent outdoor alcove has ample seating for breaks, break-out sessions or brown-bag lunches, weather permitting. The alcove is highlighted by hand-painted tiles that show the lives of a tree from seedling to mature forest. The David Douglas room can be configured in a variety of ways including classroom or auditorium style for meetings.
