About World Forestry Center
The World Forestry Center's beautiful campus and versatile banquet rooms are the ideal location for any business meeting or social occasion, large or small. Our experienced staff will set the room up to your specifications and our extensive preferred caterer's list allows you the flexibility to choose a personalized menu. Miller Hall is ideal for weddings, receptions, art shows, auctions, trade shows, annual meetings and much more. Cheatham Hall is the perfect setting for a business luncheon or social gathering. Mt. Hood Board room is perfect for that morning breakfast meeting, lunch time presentation, or evening reception. David Douglas Room is an inviting space for small group meetings, slide presentations, or can also be used as a break-out room when renting one of the other larger halls. Central Plaza perfect for any outdoor occasions.
The non-profit World Forestry Center is dedicated to creating and inspiring champions of sustainable forestry. So what does that mean? The world needs trees and forests on so many levels and it’s our job to educate professionals and the general public that trees are integral to our well-being. It’s an important mission and one we don’t take lightly. You help us support that mission by renting our facilities, and then you are also a champion of trees.
But what else does that mean for YOU? It means you are helping a Portland icon that has been around for over 50 years. It means you get to host your event in a beautiful venue in stunning Washington Park where, on lunch breaks, your guests can take a stroll through adjacent Hoyt Arboretum where every tree has a story to tell. Or they can wander through our own Discovery Museum exploring how forests and trees affect their everyday lives with interesting, interactive exhibits.
It means that if you haven’t smelled clean, fresh, Oregon air, then you need to visit us. Inhale. Exhale. It’s that easy. And then we hope you’ll stay a while and explore Portland, the coast, the mountains, the desert, the wineries, the cities, the towns. It’s all here and close by.
And best of all, the wilderness of the World Forestry Center is close to the city, conveniently located just 10 minutes from downtown and directly on the MAX Light Rail Line. We have all the things you need to make your event a success: venues with stunning wooden interiors and polished stone floors, an experienced staff that is dedicated to making your event a success, and a large preferred caterers list so you have many budget and menu options.
