Tournant is a culinary event space and boutique catering company in Portland, Oregon, operated by Jaret Foster and Mona Johnson. The classically trained chefs honed their craft cooking on both coasts and met while working for the Portland Farmers Market. Jaret and Mona bring together their love of community and farm-focused food to create memorable moments around the table. As a welcoming and well-appointed space for both private and public events, the Tournant dining room hosts a spirited blend of pop-up dinners, holiday parties, supper clubs, company retreats, birthday celebrations and cooking classes. Dedicated to the craft of good cooking and drawing inspiration from the seasons and bounty of the Northwest, Tournant catering is an extension of Jaret and Mona’s dining room and philosophy. Our meals reflect a sense of place and ceremony, drawing inspiration from the seasons and local bounty from the land and sea. We like our guests to engage with their food and one another, so we focus on family-style feasts and items meant to be eaten out of hand. Live-fire cooking and Oyster Social mobile raw bar service are specialties of ours. TOURNANT RENTALS Tournant is a 1,500 sf culinary event space that includes an open kitchen and flexible dining area with a clean, airy design aesthetic and elements of farmhouse charm. The inviting space features warm white walls, concrete floors, natural light and accents of tile, wood and stone. With a dining area that accommodates 40 seated guests (or 65 standing) and a well-appointed kitchen adjacent to the dining room, Tournant is a welcoming gathering space for both public and private events. PRIVATE EVENTS We work closely with you to create a customized food and beverage menu for your event and the space becomes your own private restaurant. Tournant is perfect for private gatherings such as: rehearsal dinners, company meals, holiday parties, birthday and anniversary celebrations, meetings and presentations. PUBLIC EVENTS The Tournant space also serves as a beautifully appointed blank canvas for public events such as: supper clubs, pop-up dinners, product launches, cooking classes and other culinary events.
