It has been over a year since having been at the John Carver Inn but we found it to be very clean and comfortable. (We also attended a play one weekend, not sure those are still offered) The brochures tout a picturesque overlook of Brewster Gardens, but that is stretching it. It is a short walk to some of the historical sites, such as the gardens, Jenny Gristmill (which has a pretty decent lunch) and other restaurants (some overlooking the marina and waterfronts). Short drives to the public beach, Plymouth Plantation, the wharf (Capt. John Whale Watch) and a good choice of several golf courses. Situated quite perfectly about 45 minutes to Cape Cod, Boston or Newport R.I. and the mansions. Aside from the average amenities it does offer a restaurant and lounge with decent food and prices. Seasonal packages are offered as well. The pool is very nice and offers a small hot tub and saunas. Business rooms, wifi connect. Two function rooms, and smaller meeting rooms are available. In room safes as well as the safe at the front desk. The staff is cheerful and willing to help.
