We had a pretty unique theme for our 40th birthday party: Prom. And the Grand Ballroom was absolutely perfect for executing that vision. Has a very high school auditorium vibe but with massive ceiling and a disco ball. It's a bit off the radar so was easy to find an available date. Very cost effective. Flexibility to use whatever food vendor you want. They do require you to use them for alcohol and they upcharge above retail but if you just think of that as additional cost of renting the venue and it's still a very reasonable price for how much space you're getting. Bartenders were great. They've got plenty of tables and chairs and benches that you need to organize yourself and put away after but super flexible in allowing us to set up the night before and put things away the day after vs needing to do it all in one night. As we said this isn't the most popular rental hall so the venue coordinator, Vytas, is more of a volunteer than full-time dedicated to this stuff, but he was very responsive. Women's bathroom is huge and newly remodeled. Not really any parking around, but if vast majority of guests are Ubering then not an issue. Definitely not the fanciest, but it's nice enough and has so many other pros that can't really beat your bang for the buck for a venue of this size.
