I attended a conference at Silver Star Hotel and Casino and had an excellent experience. The area where the conference meetings were held was in a 30,000-square-foot conference center which consisted of a lobby, ballroom, five meeting rooms, four skyboxes and an executive boardroom. The large room was tastefully decorated and the complimentary beverages and snacks were delicious. I cannot fail to mention how nice and professional the staff were during the entire conference. Another big selling point for this meeting venue is that not only were we able to attend great group meetings, but when the meetings were over, our group members were able to enjoy all the gaming and amenities that the casino had to offer. I especially enjoyed spending time in the luxurious spa--so relaxing! The Spa at Silver Star helped me relax with four types of professional massages, nine exotic body treatments, access to whirlpools, dry sauna steam room and a relaxation lounge. I was also able to enjoy manicures, facials and beauty sessions at The Salon. On the last day of our conference the entire group was able to catch a shuttle to the properties water theme park for a day of fun. The water park was very pretty and surpassed all of my expectations. One side of the theme park covered 15 acres and featured 13 waterslides including a six-story freefall speed slide, gigantic wave pool, exotic lazy river and a four-lane racing slide. On the other side of the theme park, which was my favorite area, was eight acres of glistening water and white sand beaches in a lush resort-like atmosphere. It was the most beautiful man-made white sand beaches I have ever seen. The group was able to enjoy everything from relaxing in cabanas to relaxing in a nice Hot tub. The beach area also offered a full-service restaurant, heated swimming pool, tiki bar and beach volleyball. It was like visiting the Caribbean, but without the airfare! I strongly recommend this venue for anyone looking to book a group conference.
