Nancy is a professional wedding and portraiture photographer. In addition to photographing weddings, engagement sessions and portraits she has photographed bridal fashion and special events for MOCHA BRIDE and BRIDE NINE magazines. Originally from Los Angeles, she studied photography under Julia Dean at Julia Dean Studios in Venice, Ca and received her Associate Arts Degree in Photography from Santa Monica College (SMC). Nancy works for a private studio in the East Bay (San Francisco) where she specializes in portraiture and formal event photography. She has been photographing weddings for four years. Her photographic style is a blend of photojournalism, with it's aliveness and spontaneity, and studio photography, with the refinement of beautiful portraiture. Ease and natural motion are at the core of my photography. The human form is beautiful in all of its diversity and it is best coaxed into full expression by creating an environment of trust and authenticity. My photographs portray the natural essence of my clients. I strive to create a relaxed and comfortable experience, which results in capturing authentic expressions that my clients love. Most importantly everyone has fun! The trust and familiarity I share not only with the bride and groom but with the entire wedding party allows me to move in close without being intrusive; it allows me to capture private moments without the subject's inhibition; and it provides my clients the trust that my photos will always be flattering and in good taste.
