I worked for an insurance agency in Atlantic, IA and they wanted me to do a presentation to some business leaders in Omaha. It was my job to figure out where, how to set it up, when and what to policies to present. Having only recently moved to South-West Iowa I wasn't overly familiar with the Omaha area. I made a couple of calls to get a decent idea. The price wasn't the lowest, but it was in line with what I was seeing was normal. What caught my attention was that the scheduler asked what type of event I was calling about, I told her, she asked what I had for ideas, I told her I was thinking about kind of a group business supper. She recommended a few caterers and mentioned that I tell one of them that she recommended them to get a discount, this is before I reserved the meeting room. The next day I got approval for the funds and called them back, she answered was courteous and polite and took all my information. She asked how I wanted the room set-up and gave me the different options. I was impressed, most businesses that rent out rooms for business use don't focus this much on service. It wasn't disinterested, get by service, it was genuine wanting to help and make it work service. I have done business meetings in a number of cities and in dozens of sites, it is rare to find a meeting place that doesn't make it feel like work just to get set up. While I worked at the insurance agency, the other two presentations I was asked to do were done at Cherry Hills. If I have to another meeting in Omaha, it is going to be at Cherry Hills.
