About Krekel Civic Center

The Krekel Civic Center is a multipurpose facility in Civic Park that can be adapted for events, special occasions, meetings and recreational programs. Named for O’Fallon’s founding resident, Nicholas Krekel, the building’s amenities include a warming kitchen, wireless high-speed internet access, a 90-inch televisions, a great presentation sound system and personal microphones for speakers. In addition to Parks and Recreation programming, the center provides rental space for festive gatherings such as wedding receptions, banquets, reunions and for organizational meetings. The entire facility can be reserved, or patrons can choose to rent one of three partitioned rooms or a combination of rooms. Full-day rentals are available on Saturdays and Sundays, and half-day rentals can be booked on weekends and weekdays. Full-day rentals are from 10am-11pm and half-day rentals are 10am-4pm or 5pm-11pm. Access to the rooms are restricted to these times.

Graduation - An Eventective User

I recommend Krekel Civic Center for special events. We had my daughter's graduation party here and it was awesome! You can choose which room you want to accommodate your guest. We chose the set up with the dance floor so we could dance the night away. My sister taught everyone different line dances and we had a ball! The center is beautiful and clean! There is a huge painting on the wall that was part of the original flooring from the old building. I like that they added this artwork to the decor. We were able to decorate the tables, bring in balloons, and hang up a sign. Also, we were able to use the huge television to show a slide show of my daughter from birth until now. There were two gentleman on site throughout the party and they were at our disposal. John was extremely helpful! He was there to assist with everything we needed from the beginning of the party to the end. I recommend the Krekel Civic Center to anyone. My daughter had the best time!

It was a great location and perfect room size for mingling, snacking and sitting at the tables. Staff was helpful and friendly.
