My Name is Orlando Oliveira I fell for photography several years ago during a visit to Ground Zero in New York City. While I was there, I took some photographs of my surroundings, but it was not until I reviewed my proofs that I understood the power of photographs to express emotion and to tell a story. Since that day I seek-and find-inspiration in people, places, objects and nature. In much the same way an artist uses his brush, a photographer uses his camera as a tool to capture his unique perspective of the world around him. Through the medium of photography I strive to document a single moment that will tell an entire story. It could be an exceptional, once-in-a-lifetime story, or it could be a story of everyday life-it could even be your story. Philosophy In order to properly tell a story through photography, an image must be natural and realistic, not forced or posed. I do my best to capture that single instant-a glance, a smile, an expression-when an individual’s true essence is exposed. To accomplish this goal, personal service is just as essential as artistic vision. I approach weddings with a fresh contemporary style. I love to capture the natural un staged moments of a wedding and reflect the excitement and emotions of the day.
