My sister was actually the bride at this wonderful wedding hosted by the Carlyle House in Atlanta, Georgia. The venue was very romantic and offers an indoor or outdoor wedding. It has been seasonably warm so my sister opted for an outside wedding. Sitting was clearly reserved as she requested for some of the family members. We we coming in from another state so we we're very worried that something has to go wrong, but everything was great. The weather held up for a beautiful wedding. The landscape was great. They had 100 acres of beautiful enclosed trees with white chairs with white roses just like she wanted. They even refer you to a minister, but we had our own. The wine was awesome and they even had a area nestled in the perfect sunlight for my sister and my brother in law to take pictures. They made there vows and throwing the bouquet was very entertaining. They even provide video of the ceremony to the couples for hosting their wedding at their venue. Bestof all with the grass that they had (may have been artifical) nobody had to worry about getting dirty. Not even the kids. The parents had the best seating to enjoy the entire event. If I ever get married I would definetly recommend Carlyle House. The staff was friendly and courteous and they were willing to be in the background and not take over the wedding. Everything was perepared properly ahead of time by Carlyle so that the family could focus on successfully enjoying the wedding ceremony and that is exactly what we did. Go Carlyle!
We had our small wedding (40 guests) at the Carlyle House. It was exactly what we were looking for - something with charm, but not overly pricey. There are beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. Our wedding was in late July, so we decided to hold it indoors. The staff was very professional. The catering was all done in-house. The food was ok, but not spectacular. There are beautiful places to take photographs on the property. Part of the property was built in the 1800s, and is very charming. Unfortunately, the bride's room was in this part of the building and had very ineffective air conditioning. I felt like I was going to melt! The wedding coordinator, Gerise, was amazing and very helpful and down-to-earth. There's not a great sound system, so hiring your own sound people is a must. Even so, I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone wanting to have an intimate wedding in a gorgeous space.
