The "Rockin" Ballroom has an authentic, retro vibe that's one of a kind in New England. We host live music & comedy shows, weddings, business expos, conferences, and classes. Rockingham Ballroom is a historic 1934 dance hall & event center spanning 8,500 square feet and features the largest floating dance floor in New England. Our amenities include: chairs and tables at no extra cost, a built-in entertainment system complete with a professional sound system, lights, and a disco ball, a prep kitchen for all your catering needs, and a slick, old-school bar that looks like it came straight from the golden era of Hollywood! Located in Newmarket, NH. 15 minutes from Portsmouth, Exeter, Hampton, Durham, and 45 minutes from Manchester and Concord.

Awesome Baby Shower space - An Eventective User from Durham

This was the perfect venue for our small baby shower. Everyone in attendance commented positively on the space and ambiance. The Hosts that the Ballroom provided, to assist us in set up and learning the sound system, were amazing and I was grateful for their help. Responsive, quick turn around, super fun event! - An Eventective User

Our swim team had our end of season party here over the weekend and it was fantastic! We had plenty of room for all the games for the kids, a Photo Booth, an awesome stage to present our awards, and they even had a fooseball and ping pong table! Awesome place, we will have our event again here next year!

We LOVED our experience at rockingham ballroom! Jim made everything easy...he was wonderful. My parents used to go dancing there in the 60s so it was sort of nostalgic for me. I especially liked having a kitchen so we had our own foods and guests brought stuff (TOO much, of course). We had a great time! Thank you to Jim again.

I first reached out to the Rockingham ballroom only days before our scheduled event due to another ballroom canceling on us last minute. Jim immediately responded and began getting to work to ensure we could still run a flawless event. He worked alongside us to ensure our accommodations were met and made sure any questions/concerns we had were promptly answered. On the day of our event, Jim came in early to make sure everything looked as we requested and by the time we arrived I could not be more impressed! I can't say enough how grateful we are that not only could our request be met on such short notice, but also for all the effort the Rockingham Ballroom put in to make sure we had an amazing event. I would 100% recommend this ballroom for any type of event.
