This place was really romantic for my wedding. This place was at New York City. I had my wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. I paid a lot of money to rent that special place out. The atmosphere was amazing. I really enjoyed the site of the water. I liked how bid that place was. I invited one hundred people for my wedding and that place had enough room to spare. It is pretty big. My wife loved that place so much. The food was good. I drinks was good. I liked the service of the catering business. My guest have been telling me how tell always wanted a wedding at the light house and how very jealous they were. My wife had the time of her life there. She told me at the day of the wedding that she has never been any happier on that wedding day. My guested danced a lot on my wedding day and so did I. Everyone there had a blast. So in conclusion the service was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect. The workers were friendly. I only downside was this place was really expensive. I felt like it burned a hole in my wallet to rent this place out. It was so expensive I still think about it today.
Awesome place- one of their main rooms has a view out over the Hudson river that is incredible. You can do corporate events and meetings there as well as non-profit type gatherings - they can go from informal to formal, it doesn't matter. they do occasional weddings too and catering and food is not a problem to have and/or order there. they have about five or six big meeting rooms/conference room type areas and so they have a good budgetary range as well. Their rooms range from about seventy-five folks to around two hundred, i think. they provide all wait staff and people to be there for coordination as well as hospitality issues. And it is gorgeous and very classy.
My wife and i got married here. it was the best day of my life, everything seemed to go perfect. We got married in the summer as the sun was setting, it was just beautiful. The people there were very kind and helpful. The food was great, and words cant really describe how happy this place is.
I had my wedding at the Lighthouse in Chelsea Piers in August of 2011. My husband and I were looking for a venue that would hold a lot of people (we planned on having around 350 people at the reception), a beautiful view, and just an overall sense of awe. I do not think there is a better venue than the Lighthouse. It is located in Chelsea Piers so it is easily accessible for all guests. Lying right on the Hudson River, the view from the Lighthouse is incredible. At night on the water, the lights from the skyline sparkle on the water and are perfect for amazing photographs. One of my favorite parts of this venue was the huge windows in the inside. Even though the reception was help mostly inside, the windows made it feel like we were outside with the lights shining through and the amazing view of the river. The Lighthouse has wood all around which gives it a comfortable feel inside. To make the setting even warmer, there are beautiful lanterns dangling from the ceiling which added to its elegance. It was such a perfect event venue for my wedding because it accomodated such a large party, but felt very warm and close knit. For those guests that wanted a break from all of the dancing and commotion inside were welcomed outdoors with the terrace that extends to the river. It is a beautiful way to get a breathe of air and relax along the water. I went their with the wedding party during the reception to get some amazing photos. I think these photos were my favorite of the entire day because the background was so breathtaking with the lights and water. Our wedding planner set up everything from flowers to food catering, and even helped us to arrange table settings. She was such a huge help and she was even impressed by how amazing the Lighthouse was for a venue. It was perfect, especially for a summer wedding. I highly recommend it!
